Arun Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi and
Founder/Director of the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence, participated in the Faces In The Crowd workshop in the Fall of 2000 with staff members and other
friends of the Institute. After the powerful and enlightening experience, he had no hesitation in endorsing Valerie Walawender’s project wholeheartedly. The Gandhi Institute
has chosen to support and bring to the Institute the materials for Faces In The Crowd, as well as bring Ms. Walawender back to Memphis for 3 days to train facilitators for the
implementation of this exciting new program.
